Job Description

As Animation Supervisor, you are responsible for the overall quality of the animation for the show assigned to you. Under the supervision of the HoD CG, you supervise the shows from both artistic and technical pespectives, and work together with the producer to meet delivery deadlines while taking into account budgetary constraints.

Main Responsibilities

• establish a methodologie in line with the humanoid facial animation-oriented project, and estimate the cost of new elements with the VFX Supervisor, the production team and consult with the HOD CG as needed;
• work with the rig and pipeline departments to provide the best tools;
• manage and supervise a small team of animators;
• brief artists individually on each shot of the project;
• manage the animators throughout the project, and provide references when necessary;
• animate specific shots;
• lead review sessions and ensure work meets client expectations;
• ensure the follow-up and compliance of the production tasks with studio standards;
• provide technical support to the animation team on the project
• understand and represent the vision of the VFX Supervisor and the client in their absence;
• report technical, strategic & organizational problems or solutions to the HoD CG.

Required Skills

• Previous experiences as Animation Supervisor on realistic projects;
• A comprehensive understanding of all technical and creative aspects of the VFX production and processes;
• Proficiency with compositing software environments;
• Familiarity with production tracking tools;
• Ability to communicate in French and English both verbally and in writing.

Work arrangement: on site at the studio in Paris or Montpellier – possibility of working in hybrid mode according to the internal teleworking charter
