Job Description

The Rigging T.D.'s primary mission is to create animation rigs for characters, creatures, props, and vehicles. They bring their technical expertise and work under the supervision of the CG HoD and the show's VFX Supervisor.

Main missions

• Provide and maintain rigs for various characters, creatures, props, or vehicles;
• Provide and maintain facial rigs for creatures or characters;
• Communicate with the modeling team regarding the suitability of models for rigging;
• Collaborate with the animation team to meet their needs and build efficient rigs;
• Resolve issues related to the rigging pipeline effectively under the guidance of supervisors.
  

Required Skills

• You have substantial experience in rigging for large-scale VFX projects involving creatures and/or characters;
• You possess a strong knowledge of anatomy, deformation, and the mechanics of movement;
• You demonstrate a solid understanding of modeling, sculpting, and creating blendshapes, as well as a deep grasp of animation principles;
• Proficient in rigging with Maya;
• You have a good knowledge of Python scripting.
